Changes in LinkedIn connection options for SocialWally

This is a message to inform you about the latest changes in the LinkedIn app for SocialWally. LinkedIn has changed the policy for their integration partners (like SocialWally). Changes concern the type of data which can be used by these partners. Due to these changes, the options for LinkedIn in SocialWally will be a bit more limited than in the past.

An explanation of the consequences of these changes:

What kind of LinkedIn data can you display on SocialWally?

Since the update on the 12th of May, it is only possible to show data from your company page. This includes: the ammount of followers you have on your LinkedIn company page, or a feed of your latest posts 

LinkedIn also announced that only a LinkedIn company page admin will be able to make a connection. These changes don’t apply yet, but we expect they will become active soon.

Which options are no longer available in SocialWally? 

Personal LinkedIn page:

The option to show data from your personal LinkedIn account is no longer available.

LinkedIn Group:

Also the LinkedIn Groups can no longer be displayed on SocialWally.

When will these changes take effect?

These changes will be in effect immediately. Users who use LinkedIn will only notice these changes once they renew the connection with LinkedIn. Renewing your connection is obligated every 60 days. We will send you automated emails to inform you when your account needs to renew the connection.

Until you reconnect, you will be able to make use of the old LinkedIn settings. So if you have a personal account or a group page connected, it will continue to display the information without any problems.
